While I’m a) working on new novels, b) waiting to hear about other projects already in the pipeline, and c) considering my options following the sad news I posted about recently, I’ve been taking the opportunity to tidy up my INFECTED BOOKS back catalogue. As you recently saw with the STRANGERS reissue, this involves producing expanded hardcover editions of titles which weren’t originally released in that format, and standardising the look, feel, and size of IB paperbacks.
The next book to get this treatment will be my 2014 zombie collection, LAST OF THE LIVING. When the collection first came out, I honestly believed it would be my last word on the living dead. I was very wrong. The YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE project followed a couple of years later, as did THE FRONT trilogy (written alongside TIMOTHY W LONG and CRAIG DILOUIE) then the second HATER trilogy (not really zombies, but there are definite similarities), then, most recently, AUTUMN: THE LONDON TRILOGY. So, yeah, I was far from done with zombies!
I don’t have a release date for you yet, but it’ll be before the end of 2025. What I can share, though, is a list of the planned contents.

- A brand new, as yet untitled, zombie short*
Stories marked * are new to this edition of LAST OF THE LIVING.
