Okay, so I’m probably not the absolute worst, but it’s not a part of the job I enjoy. I’ve always preferred to let my books do the talking, and giving free books away to folks has always been a major part of my approach.
The reason I’m mentioning this today is two-fold.
First, way back in the mists of time (2001 to be precise), I started giving AUTUMN away as a free download. Almost a million downloads, eight more books, an audio dramatisation, and one movie later, I can confidently say that was a good decision! So much so that I’ve decided to repeat the initiative with the more recent LONDON TRILOGY.
You can now download the first book in the trilogy – AUTUMN: DAWN – absolutely free from all eBook retailers. Chances are you’ve already read it as you’re here, but if you could share the good news with your friends on your socials etc, I’d very much appreciate it.
The second reason might be more pertinent to long-term readers. I’m relaunching my mailing list. Perhaps refocussing would be a better word to use. It’s already an established list, but I want to give it more of a meaning, a better direction. This will include monthly newsletter exclusives – free stories, free audiobooks, exclusive competitions etc – and I’ll share more information about what I’m planning in the coming weeks. My intention is that it’ll become a PATREON kind of affair, but all you’ll have to do is sign up, not make any additional payment.
