Two new AUTUMN stories for you today – one leads into the other (and you definitely shouldn’t read WHERE’S WALLY until you’ve read AUTUMN: EXODUS at least up to chapter 45).
This is where the initial idea for writing these additional stories came from. If you’ve read EXODUS – and this isn’t giving too much away – you’ll recall one group of folks spotting a burned out power station in the distance. While I was writing I was wondering how that might have happened, and that led to the idea which became the first of today’s stories, BIOMASS. As you’ll see, WHERE’S WALLY? looks at the impact of the incident from another perspective, and it allowed me to tie up another couple of EXODUS-related loose ends. I hope you enjoy both shorts.
A bit of admin… as well as the fact they form two halves of a whole, the other reason I’m posting two stories this week is that I’m going away at the beginning of November, and I’ll be off-line for a few weeks. I’ve been keen to get all these new stories posted to www.lastoftheliving.net before I disappear. You’ll get the last story, BARELY A SOUND, next week.
On the subject of my impending break (which I plan to bore you senseless about when I’m home), I need to mention that there are only FIVE copies of the LONDON TRILOGY HARDCOVER currently in stock. There will be more coming later in the year, but my badly timed disappearance means this may be your last chance to snag a copy before Christmas. If you’re interested, click the image below or follow this link. And if you’re in the EU or you just prefer to use other sites, you can also get copies from the Infected Books ETSY and EBAY stores.
